The Motorola Droid seems to be mostly in the news at the moment and the guys over at the BGR have got hold of a Motorola Droid and given it its first actual unveiling although they don’t go in-depth just now.

What they have said is that the Motorola Droid runs Android 2.0 obviously, and that the hardware is only just thicker than the Apple iPhone 3GS and that includes the Droid’s QWERTY side keyboard.

They also state that the Motorola Droid is the fastest Android based smartphone they have ever used, has an awesome capacitive display, pretty usable QWERTY which has a soft-touch rubberised finish, and that the Motorola Droid’s the Android device to beat.
