BlackBerry Smartphones gain OS 5.0 beginning today
Although the centre of Blackberry news focuses around the BlackBerry Storm 2 and the BlackBerry Bold 9700, those who have current BlackBerry smartphones such as the BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Storm 9500 and 9530, Curve 8330/8350i and 8900, and the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220/8230 along with the BlackBerry Tour 9630 aren’t left out.
According to the guys over at the BGR, the BlackBerry smartphone of above are about to receive the BlackBerry OS 5.0 starting with OS 5.0 being dropped by Verizon for the BlackBerry Storm 9530 as of today.
So if you don’t have Desktop Manager set up you need to make everything ready as it appears most OS 5.0 updates will not be over the air.

I am really unhappy… a lot of bugs. now when it reboots has two Java errors. Verizon transfered me to Blackberry to fix it they wanted to wipe my phone and rebuild… NO WAY.
The tech was in another country and I could barely understand him.
Many of my apps don’t work. When I tried to reinstall old system, that wouldn’t work either…
I should have waited!!!!!
The phone is a lot smoother on the bright side.
