Nokia is taking Apple to the courts over 10 infringements of their patens that cover wireless data, encryption and speech coding reports an article over on trusted reviews.
Ilkka Rahnasto, vice president of legal and intellectual property for the Finnish giant has said…”The basic principle in the mobile industry is that those companies who contribute in technology development to establish standards create intellectual property, which others then need to compensate for. Apple is also expected to follow this principle.”
The lawsuit comes on the back of Nokia announcing poor third quarter results of which some blame is placed on the loss of market share to Apple.
Other news has Psystar still defying Apple’s legal eagles by announcing a $50 app that enables PCs to run Mac OS X.
