iPhone 3GS production upped for Christmas run up
It looks like Apple is about to up production of the iPhone 3GS in the run up to the Christmas period in the hopes of grabbing a large chunk of holiday cash.
Digitimes cites various sources that say Apple has increased its Q4 iPhone 3GS production orders to Primax Electronics and Foxconn Electronics by between 17 and 20 percent, while OmniVision reports tight supplies of the iPhone image sensor through November.
Obviously as always when Apple demand, suppliers push everything else aside to meet said demand, so it looks like Apple is definitely banking of shifting a few iPhone 3GS units at Christmas time.
