More updated news on the Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid Event, yes this news is a little about the specs, yes more specs mentioned, price and apps.
There will be thousands of apps which will run like Teflon on a luge run (Got to love that phrase), there will Google Maps navigation (beta app) with voice guidance and Latitude which is superb news, and you will be able to toggle back and forth between multiple apps. Voice search will be pretty much similar to that of the iPhone from Apple i.e. the Google iPhone app, and it will search contacts and your content on the Motorola Droid, basically there will be widgets in addition to apps.
Verizon Wireless CMO John Stratton mentioned a little about the specs on the Motorola Droid which will include Android 2.0 (first phone with that OS), 16 GB memory, 3.7-inch display, Bluetooth, DVD-quality camcorder/video, 5 megapiel camera and Wi-Fi. There will be social networking integrated into the device and will run on the Verizon network.
The price of the Droid will be $199 and will be available November 6th.
