HTC Droid Eris just a rebadged HTC Hero?
According to an article over on engadget mobile, the new HTC Droid Eris is nothing more than a rebadged version of the HTC Hero, and will be launching on November the 6th, the same day as the Motorola Droid and on Verizon Wireless.
They have info on “good authority” that the HTC Droid Eris will sport Sense UI, a 3.2 inch display, a 528MHz processor and pack Android 1.5 Cupcake OS.
Price wise the HTC Droid Eris will retail at $199 after a mail in rebate of $100, and the purchaser will receive an 8GB microSD card, and the hopes that HTC will eventually manage to push out Android 2.0 Éclair to the Droid Eris at a later date.

NOT WORKING!!!! Bring it with Eclair and this old 528 M processor is just HTC way of trying to pawn this old slow hardware on us. Not until they bring on a better, faster phone will the educated masses buy this. Give us something like the rumored Passion. Now THAT would be a phone to have. The Moto Droid is looking better and better.
