The tariffs for the iPhone on the Orange UK network are now out and it appears O2 have lost the battle for the cheapest overall 2 year contract to Orange due to their “super light” plan that makes the iPhone 3G available for only £29.36 a month reports itproportal.
For said £29.36 monthly fee customers will only get 150 minutes along with 250 text messages allotted, but if customers opt for the higher £34.26 a month plan they receive 600 minutes along with 500 text messages which is on par with O2.
Having said that, no doubt one can presume O2 will hit back by also offering a below £30 plan or at least match it. If you opt for the 18 month option the iPhone 3G will cost you £96.50, but if you go for their £44.04 a month 18 month plan you get the 3G for free; in total there are 5 2 year plans and 4 18 month plans to choose from.
