Apparently there is some confusion over the service plans for the new Motorola Droid smartphone with some people claiming to connect to Exchange, data will cost a monthly fee of $45 rather than $30; this is wrong claims gearlog.
Apparently they contacted Verizon HQ and received an official reply via spokeswoman Brenda Raney who apparently confirmed the Motorola Droid uses the exact same data plans as every Windows Mobile phone with Verizon.
Also whether the user pays $30 or $45 does not depend on what you do with the handset, you can access Exchange email on the $30 plan just fine, but it’s all down to what account you use. The $30 cost is on a personal account while the $45 cost is for business accounts.
