We take a step back from the high profile smartphone such as the iPhone, Nokia N97, HTC HD2 and other Windows mobile smartphone today to look at the ultra low end mobile phone coming from Nokia.
According to an article over on intomobile, Nokia is launching 5 ultra low end handsets, the Nokia 1280, the Nokia 1616, Nokia 1800, Nokia 2200 Slide and the Nokia 2690 mobile handsets.
The Nokia 1280 has a basic black and white display and is dual-band 900/1800 and is expected in Q1 2010 priced at €20. The Nokia 1616 has a colour display and 2 variants 900/1800 and 850/1900 again in Q1 of 2010 priced at €24.
The Nokia 1800 again has a colour display, is dual-band 900/1800 with FM radio and flash light coming in Q2 2010 for €26. The Nokia 2200 Slide has GPRS/EDGE, colour display, dual-band 900/1800 and 850/1900 variants, and VGA camera and costs €45. Lastly the Nokia 2690 is quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 1.8 inch colour display, VGA camera, due in Q1 2101 costing €54.
