It’s not all that long since the Motorola Droid smartphone hit the streets, and one wouldn’t normally expect the smartphones price to drop just weeks after its release but that is exactly what has happened when you get the Motorola Droid smartphone from Dell.
According to an article over on intomobile, Dell is now offering the Motorola Droid for only $119.99 along with a two year agreement with Verizon, and apparently also applies to contract extensions, so no waiting for eligibility of an upgrade.
Spec reminder for you, the Motorola Droid is of course Android 2.0, GSM/850/900/1800/1900, HSDPA/900/2100, 3.7 inch touch screen, full QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD expansion, and I’m sure you know the rest.
So if you are on the lookout for a cheaper Motorola Droid smartphone then it does appear that Dell is going to be the one to go with, and they ship the smartphone for free via Fedex.
