Google recently acquired mobile advertising firm AdMob for $750 million, and now apparently according to an article over on moconews, the Federal Trade Commission is reviewing the acquisition.
However, apparently there is no sign that the FTC will raise any potential objections to said acquisition and that the review is basically just procedural, and this also indicates that it will probably be the FTC rather than the Justice Department who will run the anti-trust review.
Apparently a spokesperson from Google has said that they don’t see any regulatory concerns with the deal; however, closer scrutiny has been one consequence of our success.
Google announced the acquisition back in November and Google’s CEO has told customers to expect more adverts in Google content on mobile phones.
