The Time Top Ten Gadgets 2009 list has now been announced and among all the numerous tech stuff and non tech stuff out there the list includes the top ten gadgets and in said top ten gadgets list the first place goes to the new Android 2.0 toting Motorola Droid smartphone.

In the top ten gadgets section The Droid snapped up first followed by the Barnes $ Nobel Nook and the Dyson Air Multiplyer Fan, seeing the iconic Apple iPhone 3GS pushed way back into fourth place.

Apparently Time loved the Motorola Droid and says that it is a hefty beast, a behemoth without the gloss and finish of the iPhone, but you don’t miss it. It’s Android’s first credible challenge to the iPhone.
