Well if not actual Stockholm Syndrome then delusions according to research entitled “How will psychologists describe the iPhone syndrome in the future,” presented by Strand Consulting reports an article over on 9to5mac.
Firstly, for those who don’t know about Stockholm Syndrome, it is a psychological response sometimes seen in abducted hostages whereby said hostage shows signs of being loyal to the abductor, get the idea?
Well apparently this team of analysts reckon that’s what has happened with the iPhone and that although the iPhone has its limitations, iPhone users basically wash over those limitations simply because it is the iPhone, or that’s how I understand it.
The Strand Consulting article says that the iPhone and Apple have the most loyal and fanatic customers in the world and goes on to say that iPhone users defend the product despite the shortcomings and limitations of both past and present versions.
They do say though that Apple launched a beautiful phone with a fantastic UI, but has a number of shortcomings and limitations that many iPhone users accept and defend despite said shortcomings resulting in limitations in iPhone users lives.
So basically they are saying that if you are an iPhone user and you defend your iPhone you are limiting your daily life…anti-iPhone analysts or not?
