After all this time, with all the rumours and speculation hitting the net waves that were constantly denied by Google, it turns out that not only were Google working on the phantom Google phone, but it now exists and Google have finally come clean.
According to an article over on techcrunch, numerous Twitter accounts of Google employees have been tweeting they are already using the new Google Phone, and now apparently Google have themselves confirmed this as fact.
Google says they are indeed “dogfood testing” a new Android OS handset with their employees around the world. Furthermore the new Android Google phone according to a “trustworthy source” will be an unlocked GSM handset made by HTC, launched in early Jan 2010, and will run Android 2.1 OS.
Word has it that an unnamed source who has seen the Google phone says it is “really, really fast,” and runs on a Snapdragon processor, with a super high resolution OLED touch screen, not keyboard, two mics, and thinner than the iPhone.
