Google Nexus One Compared to iPhone 3GS
So the word is we will see the infamous Google phone, the Nexus One out and about next month, and if you are of a quandary whether to opt for the iPhone 3GS or simply wait for the Nexus One, the guys over at ismashphone have done an initial comparison between the iPhone 3GS and what is known about the Nexus One.
So here’s what they have come up with…the iPhone 3GS is GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 while the FCC files say the Google Nexus One is GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSUPA and HSPA 900/1700/2100 and EDGE.
The iPhone 3GS incorporates WiFi and so does the Nexus One, and both smartphones have Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, however went it comes down to the camera the Nexus One may have the edge slightly as it is rumoured it will sport a 5 megapixel camera while the iPhone 3GS sports a 3 megpixel one.
It has also been speculated that the Nexus One will pack a larger screen than the iPhone 3GS’s 3.5 inch and come in with a 3.7 inch screen, and the Nexus One also has the edge over the iPhone 3GS with a microSD expansion slot.
It does have to be said that if the rumour is correct and the Nexus One ships unlocked, this will be the main advantage over the iPhone 3GS, but one must remember of course it’s all speculation at the moment.
