No Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 until January

As the saying goes, everything comes to he who waits, and it means that anyone waiting for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 to arrive will have to wait a little longer as according to an article over on brighthand, Sony Ericsson has pushed back its debut of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 until Jan 2010.

Apparently the reason for Sony Ericsson delaying the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 smartphone is they are still working on fixing some bugs in the system software, and are optimising it to improve performance and extend battery life.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will run Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro over which will run their custom UI, is quad-band GSM, push email with Microsoft Exchange, an 8.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus, TV out, aGPS, WiFi, and microSD expansion.

Apparently there will be two versions of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2, one 3G for North America and another for the rest of the global market, and the release date is now apparently the “first week of January,” however what price it will command is still unavailable.
