Apparently the word is Sprint is suffering an Outage problem, and most users are receiving Sprint Error 2112 notification whenever they try to send an SMS text message, so if you are expecting a text from a friend then you’d better give them a ring, reports an article over on softsailor.

The thing is it appears that users can still receive SMS text messages from other networks other than Sprint such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and others, so does look to be a Sprint specific problem.

As for the reason for the outage it hasn’t been reported, but it is real and when you receive this message… “The message could not be delivered due to a network setup error. Please contact Customer Care. Error 2112,” you should give Sprint Customer Care a call.

Hopefully this Sprint Outage issue will be solved by Sprint in quick order, and release a statement as to just what has occurred, but until then if you are experiencing this issue feel free to let us know.
