The word hitting the net waves is that someone has spotted a Google Nexus One smartphone that is compatible with AT&T’s 3G network, although it is known that there will be 2 versions of the Nexus One, one for T-Mobile and one that supposedly Google will offer themselves.
However, according to an article over on i4u, if said rumour is true it will mean customers with AT&T, and Canada’s Rogers, Telus and Bell will all be able to use the Google Nexus One handset.
The problem being as far as we are aware, the Nexus One will work on AT&T’s 2G EDGE service but not on their 3G; so maybe it is simply speculation, and well nothing has really been confirmed as yet.
CES 2010 is on in a few days and no doubt we will learn more about the Google Nexus One then, and will be interesting to see if the new Android handset does actually work on AT&T’s 3G.
