That’s right, apparently the maker of the Juice Jack Air along with other iPhone accessories, Mophie is to deliver their own credit card reader along with a 3rd party app for the iPhone according to an article over on t3.

Word has it that the new iPhone accessory will be a special case that works with an accompanying iPhone app which enables the iPhone user to make credit card payments simply by swiping their credit card through the iPhone attachment.

There’s not a great deal of info on just how Mophie is going to get it to work as the iPhone API doesn’t allow credit card info to be scanned directly into Safari, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough as Mophie has said they will unveil it at CES.

Square also has a similar card reader coming up for the iPhone and Android that enables users to accept payments and Square has said it should be available in early 2010.
