Today January 5th Google have taken that one step for mankind into online retailing with the launch of the very much talked about new smartphone the Nexus One.

There is now a Webstore in order that it may be sold directly to consumers. The touchscreen phone has been called a ‘superphone’ and now the internet search giant is aiming to challenge Apple’s iPhone and offer eager consumers an alternative way to purchase.

Google showed off the new smartphone in California and also unveiled a website where consumers from all over including the UK can purchase the phone without the need of a carrier.
