Since the first rumours of Google putting out the much hyped Google Nexus One there have been questions as to whether Google has come up with the mystical iPhone killer, and according to an article over on mobileblog it may well be.
They say technically the iPhone 3GS is a “vintage” handset in this new generation of smartphones due to the iPhone having a non-removable battery, lacking a physical keyboard, no 720p HD video recording, and expandable memory.
They also note that spec wise the Google Nexus One is “leagues above the iPhone,” however the iPhone still delivers a degree of usability the Nexus One can’t match, especially when it comes to music.
The Google Nexus One may be the “iPhone killer” many look for but the handset should not just beat the iPhone with specs but needs to out perform the iPhone when it comes to customer appeal and so far the iPhone commands that area so it will be at least next year before the Nexus One can be really called an iPhone killer if is manages to claim the same sales; any bets?
