If you are currently mulling over purchasing a Nexus One smartphone you may want to read up on the handset beforehand, and the guys over arstechnica have now spent some time delving deep into the Nexus One and have come up with quite an in-depth review.
Their Nexus One review covers a traditional Nexus One unboxing, the hardware, the 5 megapixel camera, the Android 2.1 software, voice input, Google Voice, email, applications refinement, Nexus One performance including Linpack Benchmark, Sunspider Benchmark, Google v8 Benchmark, Dromaeo, web browsing, web browsing load time, multitasking, battery, quibbles, community and conclusion.
They say the physical design of the Nexus One superphone is excellent and fits comfortably in the hand. The Nexus One is as streamlined as the Palm Pre and thinner than the Apple iPhone. Recharging or running the Nexus One on heady loads can cause the handset to become warm but not uncomfortably so.
They also say that the Nexus One isn’t perfect as the software could use some tweaking, although they do say the Nexus One is the best smartphone on the market at this point as its speed, available apps, excellent hardware design and direct Google support makes sure that no other current smartphone match it.
