It is good to see that when a terrible disaster strikes people rally round to aid in that disaster, and big business lends a helping hand. One such big business to step up to the mark is T-Mobile who have announced they will waive international long distance calling charges for any T-Mobile customer wishing to call Haiti.
According to an article over on intomobile, T-Mobile has said that calls to Haiti from the 12th of Jan to the 31st of Jan 2010 won’t be charged, and furthermore for any T-Mobile user in Haiti, they will be allowed to roam on both Haiti’s Digicel and Voila networks for free.
T-Mobile goes further in their aid and has pledged to donate power generators and mobile phones to bolster the Haiti wireless communications infrastructure as Haiti moves ahead with restoration and humanitarian efforts…Well done T-Mobile.
