Today we get a glimpse at the first Android platform smartphone to come out of Gigabyte as the guys over at unwired view managed to get hold of some images of Gigabyte’s so far unnamed handset which will be part of their GSmart series.
The word is that this first Android handset from Gigabyte will run Android 1.6 OS and spots such specifications as a 2.8 inch QVGA display, a 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 528MHz Qualcomm processor, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm jack, and microSD expansion.
Unfortunately though the first Android from Gigabyte lacks 3G connectivity which is a bit of a downer, so really its not a handset that will make you say wow I want one.
However if you like the look of the next Gigabyte GSmart mobile phone it should become available sometime February or march and carry a price tag of somewhere around 200 to 300 Euros.
