Strategy Analytics analyst, Neil Mawston believes the smartphone market will become ultra competitive during 2010, and that the smartphone wars will be good for consumers.
Apparently Samsung and LG are gearing up to sharply increase their smartphone sales, while Dell and Huawei will be strengthening their smartphone offerings.
According to Geoff Blaber, analyst for CSS Insight, Apple and BlackBerry maker Research In Motion will be winners in 2010 while an ‘influx’ of new players along with an oversupply of handset and aggressive pricing will strain profit margin.
Well all I can say is bring on the smartphone wars, as one thing is right, the consumer will be the winner if and when we see smartphone prices tumble.
