Video: Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Running Android 2.0.1

As we wait and wait for Sony Ericsson to get round to putting out the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 packing Android, it appears the guys over at XDA have got fed up with waiting and have done a bit of hacking themselves.

Apparently they decided to hack Android onto an earlier version of Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA range, namely the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 which usually runs Windows Mobile, but as you will see in the video, can now dual boot with Windows Mobile and Android 2.0.1.

Word is it took some doing to get it p and running, and presently doesn’t work with LCD auto-brightness, GPS, the camera and Bluetooth and is still a ‘work in progress.’

Still you can check out the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 running Android 2.0.1 in the video below courtesy of the guys over at slashgear; enjoy and let us know what you think by dropping us a comment.
