The device which is one of Motorola’s first Android handsets, is overall a very nice phone which is a nice size for a slider phone that has a qwerty keyboard and also being touchscreen.
The front shows a 3.1 inch HVGA touch screen which measures 320 x 480 pixels. It weighs quite a lot less than the Nokia N900 which is 183 grams and also sports a slide out keyboard. The Motorola Dext weighs just 163 grams.
Version 1.5 of Google’s operating system is on board otherwise known as Cupcake. This is great as it will permit the smooth running of the MotoBlur application, which allows you to keep on top of whats going on around you with various networking sites.
The Dext supports Wi-Fi and has a full HTML browser as well. Of course as it is a Google Android powered handset you have GPS thrown in and you can have if you wish Google Maps as your own navigation software, and even an E Compass.
There is a Micro SD card slot that takes up to 32Gb cards for those of you that like your mega sized applications. Source – ukpressreleases.co.uk
