LG and Dolby have been working together on this since 2008 and have just at the Mobile World Congress delivered a fantastic demonstration of multichannel surround sound.
The demonstration was on an Android based LG smartphone and it showed off an amazing experience of 5.1 channels of aural excellence. Both companies have been collaborating on mobile sound since LG initially agreed to use Dolby Mobile technologies back in 2008.
They have since however, produced around 20 different models using a degree of enhanced sound from the audio giant. Dolby have said that they are pleased to be working on an LG Android based smartphone.
Dolby Mobile increases the range of mobile entertainment which allows users to enjoy a much richer much clearer almost cinema like audio on the move. It has been made apparent that since showing off a form of mobile surround at last years MWC they have continued to work together in developing their technologies. Source – techradar.com
