Vodafone launched what is dubbed the world’s cheapest mobile phone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Vodafone 150 handset which is aimed at developing countries reports an article over on silicon republic.
The Vodafone 150 which has also been dubbed the ‘lowest cost mobile phone on earth,’ will command a low, low price tag of just $15.00, and the Vodafone 150 features SMS and voice calls obviously, and a built in mobile payment service.
There is of course a costlier option which is the Vodafone 250 which adds a colour display and FM radio for a higher price tag of $20.00, so basic mobile phones for a basic price.
The Vodafone 150 will initially be offered in India, Turkey and 8 African countries which will include Ghana, Kenya and Lesotho.
