First it was known as the Samsung i8520 and now the Samsung Beam, one would assume that perhaps 2010 is going to be a year for the projector phone amongst others.
This makes Samsung the latest manufacturer to grab a bit of the phone projector pie, already there are LG’s Expo and also the Wave. It could just be that Samsung were adding the finishing touches to the Bada OS but it has still succeeded in managing to get out another Android Handset.
Not the same as Motorola’s Quench again just announced the Samsung Beam has Android 2.1 and the more intuitive TouchWiz 3.0 user interface. So not only have they managed to get another out in the open there is plenty of room for customisation options as well.
Okay, lets move on swiftly to the highlight which clearly is the built in pico projector and the specs indicate that we can look forward to a 3.7 inch AMOLED screen, a 5 megapixel camera, 720p video recording, plus loads more and lets not forget running on the very latest version of Android the Beam could really give the Google Nexus One a serious run for its money.
