Samsung i8520 Halo to be announced today at MWC 2010
While digging through a Samsung spec sheet the guys over at engadget spotted another Samsung mobile phone, which runs Android 2.1 and was the so far unannounced Samsung i8520, which according to the vice president of Samsung’s mobile division will be announced today at MWC 2010 as the Samsung Halo.
Apparently the spec sheet shows the Samsung i8520 Halo specs as quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri-band UMTS 900/1900/2100, 3.7 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, A-GPS, DLNA support, 3.5mm jack, 16GB internal memory, and microSD expansion.
Furthermore, the Samsung i8520 Halo will also sport an integrated DLP pico projector, and also lists a “Specialised Projector UI.”
Although the Samsung i8520 Halo looks to be running the same user interface as the Samsung S8500 Wave, the Samsung mobile division vice president has apparently confirmed that the Samsung i8520 Halo will run Androud 2.1 and will ship in Asia and Europe in Q3.
