Most Valuable Brand in UK is Vodafone
According to a recent survey the most valuable brand in the United Kingdom is mobile phone giant Vodafone which ranks 7th in the world and Vodafone has leapt over HSBC bank to snatch the number one position in the UK league reports an article on The Independent.
The survey by consultancy Brand Finance lists the world’s 500 most valuable brands and Vodafone was amongst 27 British companies listed. Barclays climbed up the ranking to hit 44th place from its previous 77th position after announcing annual profits of £11.6 billion.
Jumping for its 20th position on the list up to 16th place is supermarket chain Tesco, while HSBC bank dropped back into 8th position ousted by Vodafone despite a rise in HSBC brand value.
UK Cadbury sits at 273 position with a 28 percent brand value rise, Google climbed the ranks also, moving up from 5th position to hit 2nd position and overtaking soft drink giant Coca Cola. As for the world’s most valuable brand, that goes to Wal-Mart with a 2 percent brand value increase to $41.4 billion which is about £26.3 billion.
