As you may be aware Apple doesn’t attend Mobile World Congress, they usually hold their own events to unveils such things as a new iPhone 4G or an iPad or Macbook, but not attending such a huge event doesn’t make too much difference in the mobile world as Apple boss Steve Jobs has just been give a top award by the GSMA.
According to an article over on moconews, the guy that gave us the iconic iPhone was given the GSMA 2010 Mobile Personality of the Year Award, although Jobs actually wasn’t there to receive the coveted award.
British actor Stephen Fry presented the awards at the world’s largest wireless industry event, and other awards went to the HTC Hero for best handset, Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service to Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0, and Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough to Orange for Mobile High Definition (HD) Voice.
