As you are probably aware, Kodak lodged a complaint against the Apple iPhone and Research In Motion BlackBerry smartphones over the use of what Kodak claims patent infringement of their camera technology.
Well according to an article over on top10, the International Trade Commission will now get their investigation of the technology used by the iPhone and BlackBerry, although the article doesn’t say exactly when or how long the probe will take.
Kodak say they tried to come to some kind of settlement with both Research In Motion and Apple; however a satisfactory solution couldn’t be gained and thus Kodak was forced to lodge their complain with the ITC.
So it’s now a matter of wait and see what the International Trade Commission comes up with in their investigation and whether they will find in favour of Kodak or not.
