At some point the Research In Motion BlackBerry Tour 9650 smartphone is due to hit both Verizon Wireless ad the Sprint network, however, according to an article over on mobility site, there is some delay in getting the BlackBerry Tour 9650 to both carriers.
According to a Research In Motion insider that tipped them off, several Big Red stores did actually get BlackBerry Tour 9560 units; however the units were returned for “updates” and apparently will not return to Verizon until the BlackBerry Tour 9650 gains BlackBerry OS 5.0.
As for the Sprint BlackBerry Tour 9650 handsets, apparently the tipster has stated that the Sprint version of the BlackBerry Tour 9650 is having a spot of bother with WiFi, something Sprint is currently working to resolve.
Other news from the RIM insider has it that the BlackBerry Tour 9650, which has been touted as the BlackBerry Tour 2, will not be known as the BlackBerry Tour 2 but rather the BlackBerry Bold 9650, which is kind of confusing.
