The word is that Palm webOS 1.4 update is set to be release as of the 25th of February according to a rumoured source at the Big Red, so it would appear both the Verizon Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus will gain webOS 1.4 reports an article over on mypre.

Unfortunately though there is no word on when the Sprint Palm Pre and Palm Pixi will gain webOS 1.4, so it’s a matter of wait and see with the original Palm smartphones.

Furthermore it is expected that webOS 1.4 will deliver video recording to the smartphone’s camera and pave the way for Flash 10.1 although Flash 10.1 will not be included in webOS 1.4 update.

Word has it that Verizon will push out the webOS 1.4 update to the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus at a rate of 100,000 handsets at a time; however the update can apparently also be manually triggered.
