The original Samsung Galaxy i7500 will receive an update but only to Android 1.6, the Spica will enjoy the newest flavour and may well see this in the second part of the year.

The leaked Android 2.1 apparently has a nice range of features such as Google Maps 4.0 or live wallpapers. Of course there will be additional enhancements have a look, remember though this is a leaked version and not the official. It could be that Samsung release the official update within a month or sooner, so it may be worth while be a little patient.
