CeBIT is now open in Hannover Germany, and Nokia has now stepped forward an announced the first smartphone in the Nokia C Series, the Nokia C5, which is a candy-bar handset that resembles the Nokia 6700 Classic, reports an article over on noknok.
There has been quite a bit of rumour over the Nokia C Series, but now Nokia has officially confirmed that the Nokia C5 smartphone does exist and runs on Symbian S60 3rd Edition, and is an entry level smartphone.
Spec wise the Nokia C5 offers up a 2.2 inch display with a home screen which allows the placement of your 3 favourite contacts, a 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio, 50MB of memory, 3.5mm jack and microSD expansion up to 16GB.
Price and availability wise, the Nokia C5 should command a price tag of around €135 and is expected to become available sometime in Q2.
