Many mobile operators such as T-Mobile, Orange, O2, Vodafone and 3 use the words ‘unlimited data’ when advertising their mobile data tariffs, but how much do you know about your unlimited data?
We should all know about fair usage policies and they do differ according to what mobile phone you are using, Mobile Magazine has reported that a consumer watchdog has slammed many mobile operators for the ‘unlimited’ when advertising mobile data tariffs.
T-Mobile, Orange, O2, Vodafone and 3 all give you tariffs that include text and data, voice and some that offer ‘unlimited’ data. T-Mobile offers fair usage for its Android mobile phones at 3 GB a month, the Nokia X6 is not Android based and only offers 1 GB.
Orange offers only 750Mb data with the Apple iPhone and other handsets come with 500Mb of data or free push email. Vodafone offers 1 GB data on its iPhone tariff; they used to advertise all of its tariffs as ‘unlimited’.
