John Carmack, the co-creator of Doom has apparently told Kotaku that iPhone and iPad users can expect to see is Software’s work in progress, Rang, come to the Apple iPhone and Apple iPad reports an article over on tipb.

Soon to be released, Rag is a first person shooter/racer game set in a post apocalyptic world, and if true we should see Rage hit the iPhone and iPad sometime, although just when that will be isn’t known yet.

The hope is that word on just when Rage will be released will come during the upcoming E3 game show, and if it is true that Rage will indeed be coming to both the iPhone and iPad.

Carmack said…”Apple doesn’t give us anything ahead of time either, so haven’t put hands on it ourselves, but we certainly are expecting to try to have our Rage title for the iPhone, iPad, whatever, working across there.”
