The word is that during next week’s industry trade show, CTIA 2010, Sprint will launch their WiMAX phone which will be the first 4G handset in the United States and has been manufacturer by HTC and known as the HTC Supersonic reports global telecoms business.

The Sprint HTC Supersonic will use the 4G network which has been constructed through a joint venture between Sprint and Cleawire with Sprint controlling a 56 percent stake.

Over the past 3 years Sprint has lost roughly 9 million customers and is thus hoping the Sprint HTC Supersonic will attract the heavy mobile internet user and thus boost their operations,

Back in November 09 Sprint injected a further $1.18 billion into Clearwire along with revamping their exec bonus targets this month to incorporate subscriber additions on their 4G network which is offered in 27 markets.
