Thanks to a recent report over on news.softpedia.com we have some more information on the software update which is starting today for the Motorola Droid.
Probably the most popular Android device on the US market at present the update is expected to give users the ability to enjoy the latest flavour of Google’s mobile OS Android 2.1.
The update is rolling out across Verizon’s airwaves today and there is some more interesting information on the schedule of the update. At noon users 1,000 of them will receive notification of the update at 11:59 users will receive the notification after the first 10,000 there will no updates for 24 hours then on day three 200,000 will receive the notification.
Basically you can expect that most Motorola Droid users will still have to wait a couple more days before the software solution gets to their handsets. You may or may not be aware that previously Verizon have delivered updates through their website also so perhaps the wait wont be so long after all.
