Yes you read right, it appears Google is widening their Android world domination into new fields with the world’s first Android mobile operating system car which according to mashable will hit the streets as of the 23rd of April.
The new Android vehicle is called the Roewe 350 and will apparently debut at the Beijing Auto Show and has a GPS computer aboard that runs the same Android 2.1 operating system as the Nexus One.
If you haven’t heard of Roewe before, they are luxury motors made by the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation and use tech by MG Rover, and the asking price for the Android Roewe 350 is between 70,000 and 130,000 yuan which is about $10250 to $19000.
Apparently with Android 2.1 in the vehicle the driver can not only get directions and traffic reports but can also surf the net and apparently also engage in some type on internet chatting; no distraction there then.
