Orange Scoops 3 Mobile News Awards 2010 Gongs
Last week saw the Mobile News Awards 2010 and Orange scooped three of the prestigious awards with the first win of the evening, Orange picked up the Large Retailer of the year award, which said category was judged for the first time by Mobile News’s Mystery Shopper series reports intomobile.
Next, Orange also took the best ‘Innovative Service’ award for their mobile social networking service, Social Life, which brings together into a central place the likes of Facebook, Bebo and MySpace; with the judges describing Social Life as “another great innovation that’s aimed at the growing social networking market.”
Lastly, Tom Alexander, CEO of Orange, received the Mobile News Lifetime Achievement award, an award which recognises the people that fundamentally shape the mobile industry. Alexander was rewarded for his taking mobile phones mass market while at Virgin Mobile along with the impact he has made on employees and customers while Orange CEO.
Orange CEO Tom Alexander said of his award, it “topped off what was a fantastic evening for Orange and is a testimony to all the hard work done by the people of Orange.”
