Verizon reveal more on LTE at CTIA 2010
As we know Verizon Wireless have already announced plans to deploy a 4G network based the Long Term Evolution standard and according to an article over on news.softpedia.com it seems they will also be unveiling more details at the CTIA Wireless 2010 convention in Las Vegas.
The operator have said that they are in track with the LTE roll out intentions and that their partners and design experts are also preparing for the inevitable launch.
It is expected that the LTE network in the United States will be the largest and it is intended to launch commercially later during this year. You may already be aware that Verizon have already predicted that it will be capable of delivering peak download speeds of 40 to 50 megabits per second.
The CTIA wireless convention is the ideal place to focus on the very important behind the scenes work with more than 25 partners in order to bring 4G LTE to life. Verizon have also stated that they are currently working with a wide range of partners for the building of an LTE ecosystem.
