Well we knew it was going to happen, but apparently Palm has now placed their official seal on the subject of the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus coming to the Big Blue network, with the official low down coming from blog.palm.
The announcement also let’s us in on what AT&T customers can expect to fork out for the Palm webOS smartphones, with the Palm Pre Plus costing $149.99 after a $100 mail in rebate and on a 2 year agreement, and the Palm Pixi Plus costing $49.99 on the same terms.
AT&T customers with an unlimited data plan who take up the Palm Pre Plus or Pixi Plus will also gain access to AT&T 20,000 plus WiFi hotspots, and the Palm smartphones will be in AT&T stores and online in the coming months.
Whether AT&T offering the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus will turn Palm’s fortunes around is another matter, but as there are 80 million AT&T customers maybe Palm will manage to grab a few, that is until Apple push out the next iPhone.
