The big thing in the smartphone world these days is LTE or simply put 4G technology, and although the next generation iPhone which is expected in June/July is being called the iPhone 4G, it won’t actually be a 4G smartphone due to no carrier being ready this year for LTE reports an article over on nexus404
They say that this is the reason the “real” iPhone 4G will actually be the iPhone 5G which the mobile world should see at the traditional Apple reveal time in 2011, although it could be called the iPhone LTE.
Anyway an Apple Job listing shows us that Apple is looking towards LTE as they want to hire someone with expert knowledge in WCDMA/UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+ and LTE, so there is a good possibility Apple is working on an LTE iPhone or maybe the next generation iPad.
Obviously next year AT&T, Verizon Wireless and others will have LTE networks and LTE is also rolling out across the world, thus Apple doesn’t really need to push out a 4G enabled iPhone this year so we can expect an iPhone LTE next year.
