It would appear that the HTC HD2 is going to be quite a big hit over in the states on T-Mobile, as according to an article over on erictric, the boy genius report has reported that one of their T-Mobile insiders has said on launch day the HTC HD2 smartphone sold out at virtually every T-mobile store.

Furthermore according to their tipster, most of the HTC HD2 handsets were gone within four hours of being offered even though the HTC HD2 will not be upgraded to Windows Phone 7 Series.

Of course the HTC HD2 can get along quite nicely with just Windows Mobile 6.5, or should I be calling that Windows Phone Classic, so it should still do well without the WP7S upgrade.

It’s probably the looks and desirable feature set that makes the HTC HD2 such a good seller, I do have to say though I know someone with an HTC HD2 and they have been experiencing some issues with the handset such as freezing and such, but maybe that’s teething problems with the user.
