It looks like the long wait is almost over as the Android 2.1 software update for the Motorola Milestone is finally available for users all over Europe.

That according to a report over on news.softpedia.com apparently Motorola officially announced the move on their Facebook page and have stated that the solution will be deployed starting with France.

Then covering Germany, Italy and the UK during the following weeks. It is expected that the update process will be completed by the middle of April. The enhancements are said to include live wallpapers, up to 9 home screens added security for exchange server users and more.

The 2.1 software update for the Motorola Milestone also comes with a Facebook application which is free also you will have Google Maps Updates and a range of other enhancements. A new help centre app is included which provides mobile access to your user guide, tours of key features, hints and tips and also FAQ to enable you to get the most out of your device.
