Palm has been struggling recently with their webOS smartphones, but Verizon Wireless has now made their version of the handsets, the Verizon Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus a little more attractive to potential customers.
According to an article over on softpedia, courtesy of a post over on engadget, Verizon Wireless has now dropped the pricing of the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus along with adding a free 3G Mobile Hotspot with can feature up to five devices.
As for that Verizon price drop, the Palm Pre Plus has been dropped to $49.99 while the Palm Pixi Plus will now command a price tag of just $29.99; both prices are based on signing up with Verizon Wireless for a 2 year term of course.
So will the new lower prices for the Palm webOS smartphone increase sales and help bring Palm back from the brink? Personally I think if the Verizon iPhone appears as rumoured them the Palm webOS handsets will fade way into the background.
